Warning:
This operation on the camera should be done only if you are experienced in this kind of work, and only if you have the proper equipment. A bad job may lead to the unrepairable failure of the camera! Olympus may have modify some elements of this description, and you may take it in account. Train yourself, on a recovered soft electric circuit, to the technique described in the paragraph "connect"

 Equipment
adhesive tape
cross screw-driver
razor blade
3 thin electric wires 80mm long, bare at one end only
soldering-iron 5 or 10W and tin brazing wire
2 components compound
mini-drilling machine and dia 1,5mm drill
air-blower

Dismount the back  frame
Withdraw the battery, mark the + side on the camera
Withdraw the mask sheet sticked in the battery compartment
Open the back door
Uncrew the 4 screws, and log their place (different lenghts)
Tape the fastener button
Smoothly dismantle the body from the back frame, firstly from the fastener side
Continue pivoting by lifting shell edge near the shutter button
be careful with the folding connector sheet in the bottom of the battery compartment, and to a mask sheet on the fastener side (observe its location); no need to entirely separate the back frame
Stick a thick adhesive tape over the flash condensator, to prevent electric hazard if any false movement
connect the wires
With a soft razor blade, scrape gently the varnish coat on the two spots indicated MAP and OBT, until bare electric track is got over 2 to 3mm
Sweat the bare parts shown as MAP, OBT, COM
Sweat the 3 wires at these locations
Run the wires to the plug place, under the circuit board, (ends not bare to avoid inopportune contact)
Bare the wires free ends
Sweat the wires on the pins of the female connector (fold the pins forward)
Place about the connector
Insert the battery (minus is on spiral spring)
Check the camera functions with a male plug, trigger the shutter
Withdraw the battery
fix the plug
With a template, drill 3 holes on top of  the back frame
Check the free insert of the male plug through the holes
With some compound, set the female plug, and adjust it so that its top is even with the back frame
