- A french book,
- Les Enfants d'Eole
- sub-titled:
- Les cerfs-volants et la photographie aérienne,
- written by Serge ALLEGRE
-
A book well illustrated, which
doesn't discuss only on kap. All facets of kap are described:
history, applications, festivals.
The author is obviously a kaper,
so he discuss about 15 pages on kap: some reprints of drawings
early XXth, and some recent pictures.
The book is balancing between the
historic recalls and the kite activity in the ending XXth
century. This swing is not without some charm, the reprints
B&W of a period opposing to the color photographs of
another period. Hats off for the excellent quality and the
delicacy of these reprints!
