- Riveting has the huge advantage to never get loose,
which makes the safiest assembly technique.
-
-
- 1 DRILLING
- Set the two parts. A drill Ø2.1mm
is preferred.
-
- 2 SETTING the RIVET
- The rivet is cut with a cutting pliers,
so that it stands over 2.5mm of assembled faces.
-
- 3 HAMMERING
- With a small hammer, hit the rivet
giving to it a rounded shape head. Change side a few times,
and watch that the rivet stands well equal on each side.
-
- 4 FINISHING
- With a bar hollowed at its end, fiddle
the shape of the heads.
- For counter-sunk rivets, file down
the excess.
-
- TO DISMOUNT:
- Depending on each case, file the
heads, or re-drill 1.5 mm depth with a Ø4mm drill.
Forehand, mark the center of the rivet with a sharp punch.

- Use Ø2mm aluminum rod. The ones used by
the welders are suitable.
