BOBBINS  for  KIDS

 The best reels for kids are the flat bobbins 120 to 150mm long, in plastic material when bought, or made in wood , if only a few units are necerrary, and there is no shop in the near-by, or for the pleasure of a more aesthetical article.

Fabrication:

With plywood, 10 or 12mm thick, cut the profile with hopping-saw. Well make round all angles, and finely rub down. End with varnish.

At the end of the line, make a long loop about 200mm, draw it through the round hole, turn the loop around the bobbin, pull, and wind up.

To lock the line, draw a loop through the handle, put it around one of the ears of the bobbin, and finally pull the free end.
