GRAB  HANDLE

When hauling down, or when keeping the line in strong wind, it is sometimes very difficult to grap  the line well stretched and to manipulate it by hands.

Use the handle to grap the line!

The grap handle is designed to be put in a back pocket.
So, it is easy to always have it and use it at any time.

MAKING

Get stainless steel rod Ø 4 mm 400 mm long.
Form it to the drawing shown. Start by the tips.
Fix the rod into a bench vice.
To help the bending, give shocks to the rod with a hammer near the bending place.

USE

Hold the grap handle such that the gap part is horizontal.
Insert the line into the gap. Turn the handle and wind the line around it.
After 4 or 5 loops, the handle is let free and take the position as shown on the picture.

Using it, I found that a longer tip coud be really hepful. For example, 30 or 40 mm instead of 20mm, because it is used to maintain the handle in position while turning the handle either when installing it, either when removing it.
