PARASLED

The parasled is a soft kite, without spars. The wind blow the two lateral sleeves, which spread the sail.

Easy in force 3 and force 4 winds, the light winds suits it, and strong winds will not scare it, if it is well fabricated. The pull on the line may reach 1 kg. The parasled can be constructed in larger sizes.

The sleeves ensure a stabilizing effect. There is no briddle setting. It is only necessary to check that the two lengths are equal. But if the kite has a tendancy to slide on one side, lengthen the strand on this side to compensate.

The drawing is adapted from the "sled souple" of Raymond Coria published in the magazine of Cerf-Volant Club de France, Le Lucane n°57 in July 1991.
